My name is Peter Spoelstra, and I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at Maastricht University. I am supervised by Bart Golsteyn, Chris van Klaveren, Ilja Cornelisz and Tom Stolp. My research is funded by Education Lab, and I am affiliated with the Amsterdam Center for Learning Analytics.

My main research area is policy econometrics, with a focus on economic questions in education and labor economics. I primarily use large-scale administrative data and develop econometric methods for applied research, with a particular emphasis on causal inference.

My first PhD project, Truncated History Framework for Synthetic Control Approaches is published in the academic journal Economics Letters.
