About me

My name is Peter Spoelstra, and I am a PhD Candidate in Economics at Maastricht University. I am supervised by Bart Golsteyn, Chris van Klaveren, Ilja Cornelisz and Tom Stolp. My research is funded by Education Lab, and I am affiliated with the Amsterdam Center for Learning Analytics.

My research focuses on the econometrics of education, with particular emphasis on causal inference, big data, and the teacher labor market.

My first PhD project, Truncated History Framework for Synthetic Control Approaches is published in the academic journal Economics Letters.
